Instructions

It is your responsibility as the Committee on Nominations to fill open slots for the following area (see 2026 Conference Committee Worksheet):

• District Officers (alongside DEXCOM)

• District Executive Committee (alongside DEXCOM)

• Credentialing Council (alongside DEXCOM)

• Nominating Committee for following year’s conference

• Officers for following year’s conference committees - Credentials and Finance Committees

• Bylaws Committee for following year’s conference

• Delegates for General Council Committees (every other year) - see notes below

• Search committee for District Superintendent – 3 members (year prior to DS Election)

A report shall be given at the first business session. This will constitute the “First Reading of the Committee on Nominations”. At the next business session, the “Second Reading of the Committee on Nominations” will be given. Next, nominations from the floor will be taken for each open office.  The “Final Reading of the Committee on Nominations” will be read at a subsequent business session.

General Council Specific Notes for Potential Nominees

• Ask If they are attending Council and wiling to serve as a Committee Delegate

• Information a Potential Delegate will need to know:

  • Committees begin meeting on Sunday evening before Council starts and continues all day on Monday until finished

  • This is a volunteer position and expenses are not paid

  • All committee members must register as Accredited Delegates

  • Instructions with meeting details will be sent from National Office approximately one month ahead

  • The alternates will only serve on the committee if a principal delegate cannot serve - they will be contacted to confirm availability

• Lay representation requested

  • Committee Relating to the President’s Report

  • Committee Relating to Alliance Missions

• These people are already Committee Officers and cannot be elected as committee delegates
