Overview
Northland Alliance Church strives to be a Christ-Centered, Missional Family
Christ Centered: Loving God with everything we are (Matthew 22)
Missional: Following God’s command to live out the Gospel everywhere (Acts 1)
Family: One in Christ (1 Corinthians 12)
Northland Alliance Church is seeking a godly man to lead us as our Pastor. We believe God has given each Believer, including pastors, different gifts and abilities, personalities and backgrounds. Some of these characteristics are essential to any ministry calling, while others are less critical, and still others are indifferent. This profile is an outline of desired characteristics, recognizing that no one person will perfectly meet all of them. We are looking for the person God has called, and believe he should roughly, though imperfectly, meet the following desired profile:
Education
Seminary or graduate education in pastoral ministry, or a Bible and Theology degree at an undergraduate level is desirable. Other education and life experience may be equally helpful.
Credentialed by the Christian and Missionary Alliance, working toward it, or willing to work toward it.
Pastoral Experience
Experience is desired, but not absolutely required.
A demonstrated commitment to the spiritual growth and health of the local church
Family
If married, his wife is willing to participate in church life; free to use her gifts and abilities as she believes God is leading her, whether within or outside the local church
Wife and family must be comfortable living in a small town or out in the countryside.
Additional Requirements:
The final candidate, his spouse, and any adult-age children living with them will undergo background checks. In addition, the successful candidate and his spouse will participate in MinistrySafe Child Protection Training (or comparable) prior to beginning service at Northland Alliance Church.
