Summary and Purpose:
Wadena Alliance Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to come alongside the members of the church to positively impact growth in the Spirit, relationships, and discipleship within the church and surrounding communities with the love of Jesus Christ! We are looking for a godly man, who considers his ministry a calling over a career, and is willing to disciple and lead believers towards God’s calling within their lives.
Education
Seminary education/degree in a pastoral ministry discipline is desirable. Other education and life experience will also be considered
Credentialed and licensed by the Christian and Missionary Alliance is preferred, but a willingness to obtain this upon hiring would be acceptable
Pastoral Experience
5+ years of pastoral experience, preferably as a lead pastor
Demonstrated commitment to discipleship and spiritual growth within the local church is a requirement
Other Experience and Values
Ability to edify others in their spiritual giftings
Organized and able to manage administrative details when needed
Experience with leading and assisting in established children’s and youth ministries
Have a knowledge of all educational styles (public, homeschool, private), as Wadena Alliance has a good mix of families involved in all of these
Ability to lead others through and help address conflict when it arises
Family
The lead pastor and his family (if applicable) would be involved in the church and leading or helping with ministries that fit their gifts
The wife of the lead pastor (if applicable) would be willing to be involved in ministries within the church and outreach beyond the church, as the Lord leads

Biblical Preacher/Teacher:
Uses the bible as the complete and inerrant authority as God’s word when preaching and teaching
Makes relevant application between scripture and life situations
Has an understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer
Servant Leader:
Sacrificially serves others with joy and compassion
Seeks to understand the spiritual gifts of the members of the congregation; helps encourage growth within those gifts
Intercessor:
Considers prayer for the church and its members a vital part of his ministry
Takes time to pray for those who come with needs
Shepherd/Care Giver:
Gets to know the members of the church personally and gives appropriate and timely care to the members of the church body
Willingness to visit members of the church as requested or per the needs of the church body
Discipler:
Mentors others in their commitment to follow Christ
Gives focused attention to developing and executing the discipling and mentoring ministries of the church
